Dear IMAC Families, As you are aware, Governor DeWine has issued a mandatory school closure due to COVID-19 starting Tuesday, March 17th through Friday, April 3rd. Teacher Professional Development Day is still scheduled for Monday, March 16th , so there will still be no school that day also. This letter is to inform you of instructions regarding your child’s online learning. All students will be expected to log in to their normal EdMentum coursework, for a minimum of 5 hours a day. Online attendance will be monitored, and your child may be counted absent for that day, if they are not actively working for 5 hours. EdMentum can be accessed from ANY online device, including cell phones. The library, as well as several local restaurants, offer free Wi-Fi. We are also including information regarding low-cost internet plans. School staff will continue to be available for any questions through the EdMentum messaging system. You may also call the school at 419-525-0105, and we will respond within 24 hours. Cleveland Food Bank items will still be available to be picked up on Thursdays between 12 and 1 pm. We continue to get updates from Ohio Department of Education regarding this situation and will keep everyone updated as we receive more information in this ongoing process. Your cooperation is integral to the ongoing public health response to try to slow spread of this virus. We understand teenagers are going to want to be out and about doing things with their friends during this period of being out of school, but please remember to keep their contact with other people limited to help slow the spread. Thank you, IMAC Administration Team
